If Fifth Brother (TIE v1) attacks with Mag-Pulse Warheads, and the attack hits, resolve the Mag-Pulse effects as soon as this is determined (during Step 4: Neutralize Results).  This includes the canceling of results portion of the ability.  After the Neutralize Results step, you may resolve Fifth Brother's ability, which adds a critical hit.  The defender suffers this critical hit during the Deal Damage step.

  2. From the Rules Reference:

    "Q: If an effect says that a ship "loses a shield" (or "loses shields"), has that ship suffered damage?

    A: No. While suffering damage does cause a ship to lose shields (if applicable), if an effect causes a ship to lose one or more shields directly, it has not suffered damage."

  3. Yes, Deathfire (TIE Bomber) would be able to attack twice in this scenario.

    Nash Windrider's (TIE Interceptor) ability triggers during Aftermath step 6a:  Resolve any of the defending player’s abilities that trigger after a ship defends or is destroyed, excluding abilities that grant a bonus attack.  This would enable Deathfire to engage at the current initiative step, and be able to attack due to simultaneous fire.

    However, prior to that engagement, Deathfire's ability triggers during step 6d: Resolve any of the defending player’s abilities that trigger after a ship defends or is destroyed that grant a bonus attack.
