  1. When determining control of objective tokens for Fire Lanes, if line of sight from a hull zone to the token is obstructed by a ship or obstacle would a die be removed from the attack pool? Would this happen for each hull zone where line of sight is obstructed, or just once for that player's "combined attack pool"?
  2. When playing the Fire Lanes objective would a ship suffer the penalty of active Swivel-Mount Batteries on an adjacent hull zone when determining control of the objectives, and (for completeness) would they gain the benefit if they had it on the "attacking" hull zone?
  3. The Beam X weapon keyword states: When performing an additional attack with a Beam X weapon can the defending unit be closer than the minimum range of the weapon with the Beam X keyword (e.g. with the Overwhelming Barrage command card)?
  4. The Republic Immobilized Vehicle has Red Defense dice on its unit card, but none of the other Immobilized Vehicles seems to have any defense dice. Should all the Immobilized Vehicles have Red Defense Dice? Does their Heavy Armor also count as the Armor keyword (for Impact and cancelling all hit results) as well as preventing non-rear shots? These scenarios have been great fun, but Disabled Vehicle ends very quickly without defense dice and armor...
  5. The special rules for Suppression say that "a unit with suppression after rallying does not lose any actions – instead when a suppressed unit attacks, the player controlling the target unit may remove 1 die..." Do units that have one or more suppression tokens (whether or not suppressed) still improve their cover as normal (up to a maximum of 2)?
  6. In the Bring Down the Shields scenario, when one of the Attacker's units performs a Console Action it rolls 3 black attack dice and "if any of the results rolled match an uncovered slot on the Transmitter card, you may put a victory token on that slot." Can the player do this for each matching attack die (i.e. covering up to 3 slots in one action), or just once per action no matter how many dice match?
  7. In the Bring Down the Shields scenario units gain additional actions ("Console Actions" and "Transmitter Action"). When can a unit perform one of these actions? Does the unit need to be in base contact with the Console/Transmitter, or at/within a certain distance of it?
  8. The rules for Ensnaring Tentacles say that "the player who does not have a Control Token chooses and resolves" one of the Ensnaring Tentacles effects. If neither player has the Control Token do both players choose an Ensnaring Tentacles effect (Second Player going first as usual?) or does neither player get to choose an effect?
  9. The Summa-verminot can move backwards along the maneuver tool. How does this work and given that it has a yaw value of “I” at speed 1 and a yaw value of “-” at speed 2, at which joint would the "speed 1" yaw click go?
  10. If a ship (or squadron) overlaps an obstacle when do you resolve the effect of overlapping that obstacle?
  11. If a ship overlaps an obstacle while executing a maneuver can the ship resolve other effects that happen "after executing a maneuver" before resolving the effect of overlapping the obstacle? e.g. Can Demolisher land on an asteroid and shoot before it explodes?
  12. If the ship performs a more than one maneuver during its activation (through Engine Techs or Rift Ambush) must it finish resolving all the "after executing a maneuver" effects of the first maneuver before resolving any "after executing a maneuver" effects of the next maneuver? e.g. can Demolisher land on an asteroid, shoot, ET's onto a station, remove a damage from the station, and then not explode from the asteroid crit?
  13. When a ship with the Ignition [range] keyword places its targeting token it must be placed "within the range specified by its Ignition keyword." Is that range measured from the ship (including plastic), from any part of the hull zone associated with the special firing arc being used, or from just the parts of the hull zone within the special firing arc?
  14. While defending against an Ignition Attack, can the defender spend a Salvo defense token even though they will not be able to resolve its effect (e.g. to benefit from Adi Gallia's effect)? More generally, can a defender spend a defense token during the Spend Defense Tokens step of an attack even if they will be unable to resolve the effect of spending that token (as opposed to choosing not to resolve the effect, or resolving it to no effect - e.g. bracing 1 damage, containing an attack without a crit, or redirecting and choosing not to spread the damage)?
  15. When a ship that is overlapping a dust field traces line of sight as part of an attack, if the traced line passes over only a portion of the dust cloud that is not visible due to being underneath the attacking ship can that ship perform the attack? The attack is fine if it is the defender overlapping a dust field, When a ship traces line of sight to the defending hull zone of a ship that is overlapping a dust field but the traced line does not pass over a visible portion of that obstacle, the ship can perform that attack. and the attack would not be obstructed, While a ship is overlapping an obstacle and the attacking hull zone’s traced line of sight does not pass over a visible portion of that obstacle (or another obstacle or ship), that attack is not obstructed. but would the attack still be blocked by a dust field if line of sight was traced over a portion of the dust field beneath the attacking ship?
  16. If I resolve a command by spending a Dial and a Token, and I have some effect with that command icon as a header, how much choice do I have in the order of the different effects (the dial effect, the token effect, and the command icon header effect)? For example, if a ship spends a CF Command Dial and Token to resolve a CF command, and has Director Krennic equipped, which of the following orders for resolving the effects would be allowed (if any any): 1. CF-Dial effect, CF-Token effect, Krennic-Dial effect, Krennic-Token effect (resolving the whole CF Command, then both Krennic effects), 2. Krennic-Dial effect, Krennic-Token effect, CF-Dial effect, CF-Token effect (resolving both Krennic effects, then both CF effects), 3. CF-Dial effect, Krennic-Dial effect, CF-Token effect, Krennic-Token effect (resolving the Krennic effect after the corresponding CF effect), 4. Krennic-Token effect, CF-Dial effect, Krennic-Dial effect, CF-Token effect (resolving in a fairly random order)?
  17. If I resolve a command by spending a Dial and a Token I have to spend both at the same time. If I have some other effect that shares a timing window with resolving that command, can I split up the Dial and Token effects of the command and resolve the other effect between them? For example, if my ship has External Racks equipped and I resolve a Concentrate Fire Command by spending both a Dial and Token can I add the dice from the CF dial, then resolve External Racks to add two more dice, then re-roll one of them with the CF token?
  18. Comms Net and both Munitions and Parts Resupply are all resolved "After the Reveal Command Dial Step..." Squadron and Repair Commands are (normally) resolved "...after revealing the ship’s command dial." Are these timing windows different and does this mean Squadron and Repair commands must normally be resolved fully before Comms Net etc. can be resolved?
  19. Can a squadron with the relay keyword resolve that keyword if it could only be activated because of another squadron's relay keyword? Can a squadron with the relay keyword resolve that keyword if it could only be activated because of the Centicore or Triumphant upgrade cards? We had answers to this on the old forum, but it doesn't seem to have made its way to the new one yet (and let's throw in Triumphant for future-proofing).
  20. If a Ship (or Squadron, Token etc.) is entirely overlapping an Obstacle are the Ship and Obstacle "at distance 1/close range" and/or "within distance 1/close range" of each other? E.g. if a ship is entirely overlapping the rift in Rift Assault (and is speed 1 or lower), does it suffer the damage card from the objective and is its speed temporarily reduced by one when it resolves its "Determine Course" step? [Also potentially relevant to Minefields (placing tokens entirely on obstacles), Abandoned Mining Facility, Contested Outpost, Doomed Station and Holonet Override (if you are really careful and can get a ship entirely on the station), Hired Scum (deploying squadrons entirely on obstacles), and Rift Ambush.] It was a weird edge case that came up on the Discord a few days ago - if you could fit something entirely on an obstacle was it still "at" distance 1 of it. The rules for measuring distance don't really cover that situation as Armada has no distance 0 (and it is hard to measure "closest point to closest point" when all points are touching). Or perhaps a better way of putting it is: If a ship or squadron is entirely overlapping an obstacle, at first glance it would seem that no portion of it is inside the distance 1 (or close range) band of the obstacle, as it is all closer than that. But then we're getting into infinitesimals and so on. Basically I was just looking for something to confirm that weird edge case that things that are entirely overlapping are still at distance 1 of each other.
  21. When Biggs Darklighter uses his ability does the squadron that suffers the 1 damage have to be at distance 1 of Biggs Darklighter (i.e. "you" - the squadron resolving the effect) or at distance 1 of the friendly squadron that was about to suffer the damage originally?
  22. If a ship ends its movement at distance 1 of a Proximity Mine Token or Objective Token while playing the Minefields Objective is that token removed from play even if the ship is destroyed before resolving that Token's effect (i.e. due to overlapping a ship, or due to suffering damage from resolving the effect of other Proximity Mine Tokens or Minefields Objective Tokens)?
  23. How do XX-9 Turbolasers and Structural Damage interact? If an attacker resolves XX-9 Turbolasers during an attack and the first damage card dealt to the defender is Structural Damage, is the additional card dealt by Structural Damage dealt faceup?
  24. Is a squadron "touching" an object (e.g. for the purposes of DBS-404) if it is only touching due to activation sliders; i.e. the squadron(s) could be rotated so they do not touch? If so, can a player rotate their squadron so the squadron is or is no longer touching another object?
  25. If a player reveals a Grand Admiral Thrawn dial at the start of a ship phase and during the ship phase the ship he is equipped to is destroyed or he is discarded, do friendly ships activated later in the ship phase gain the additional dial?
