  1. So, if Maul on his last activation Wounds Vader, and is then Wounded by Vader's "The Sith Lord Strikes Back", will he end his last activation immediately and being removed from the game, or before being removed, he may use his "Revenge, I Must Have Revenge" to perform an extra attack?
  2. Well, probably we find out the correct answer ourselves... The Reposition must be added to the resolving queue, however, the effect itself allows the Player choose to Advance or not since there is a "may" in use. In other words, Barriss must resolve the Reposition, but may choose not to Advance, and therefore does not suffer damages from the Strained token - and if she does not Advance, she also may not remove the condition token. I think this is the right way?
  3. If the Defense Expertise Chart grants a chance to Dash while a character is Pinned and in Range 1 of an Ingress Point. Then - a) The character cannot make the move because of the Pinned condition and does not have a chance to use the Ingress Point to shift the Elevation where he is on. b) The character is capable to resolve the effect of Dash but cannot move physically because of the Pinned condition, and from then on he has a chance to use the Ingress Point to shift the Elevation where he is on. We resolved in the way of a), but indeed which one is correct?
  4. It is said that we may place our character within Range 1 of an Ingress Point after shifting the Elevation where the character used to be at. However, since the Ingress Point refers to a Terrain Feature, which is physically an object rather than a single dot, from which point shall we start to measure the Range 1 horizontally? A ladder for example - Is the mid point of its width the only start point allowed for measuring, or is any point at any end of its width allowed?
  5. Here is the scenario - Darth Vader, Jedi Hunter, uses his Vader's Fury to Advance toward Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding, and Engages successfully, adding 2 damages to the Damage Pool of his next attack in this activation. Then, Darth Vader, Jedi Hunter, makes a Combat action with a Melee attack, targeting Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding, triggers his Mind Tricks and ends the attack. Here comes the question: In this way, will Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding, suffer 2 damages that are granted by Vader's Fury from this attack?
  6. 1) General Anakin Skywalker makes a move action and Engages with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding; 2) General Anakin Skywalker makes a Combat action with a Melee Attack, targeting Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding; 3) Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding triggers Mind Tricks and ends the attack; 4) 501th Clone Troopers are in range and capable to trigger their Coordinated Fires - however, since the attack was ended by the Mind Tricks and thus there are no rolling Attack Dice step, they fail to trigger their Coordinated Fires; 5) After the Combat action, General Anakin Skywalker Triggers I'm Going to End this and slays down Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding. Are these correct or not?
  7. Barriss Offee has a Strained Token on her and defends. Her Defense Dice rolls contain 2 Expertise results which grant her a Reposition. Then, when she needs to resolve the Reposition - a) She may choose not to resolve the effect; b) She must resolve the Reposition but does not move physically - however, since she needs to resolve the effect, she would suffer 3 damages from the Strained token and then remove it. Which one is correct?
  8. If my dice rolls contain 4 Expertise results, could I apply to the row of the effect of 2 results, rather than the row of the effect of 3+ results?
  9. MagnaGuard's Protection Protocols is described as: After an allied Separatist Alliance Primary Unit makes a move action, this Unit may use this ability. Choose a character in the activating Primary Unit. One character in this Unit may Advance Toward the chosen character. The rules of Toward says: The moving object can’t cross a straight line drawn along either arm of the angled movement tool to the edge of the table. Here comes the question: After Count Dooku makes a move action, the MagnaGuard triggers its Protection Protocols, using a bending movement tool to move one of its character Toward Count Dooku. However, since the arc allowed by the rules of Toward is almost occupied by a Terrain part that has a higher Elevation, the bending movement tool used is partially exceed the arc allowed by the rules of Toward. Is this OK? In other words, when judging whether a move Toward something is legal or not, should we only look at the final position of the moving object, or even the movement tool used should not exceed the arc?
  10. I'm confused. It is presented "may X and Y" rather than "may X, then Y", right? So aren't effects X and Y add to the resolving queue at the same time, and according to Appendix A: Timing, in Page 38 of the Core Rules book, which says that "If a player has multiple effects occurring simultaneously, they always choose the order of their own effects." Am I misunderstanding the use of the Appendix wording?
  11. I've read the change of the trigger timing when General Anakin Skywalker should use I'm Going to End This. Does that also mean, now General Anakin Skywalker is allowed to change his Stance rightly before he use I'm Going to End This?
  12. It is said that the Shove effect will cause the affected character may be Pushed away from the shoving character Range 1, then the shoving character may immediately Pull itself toward the affected character Range 1. The effect is described as a 2-stepped game effect and should be resolved step by step, but not mentioned it is necessary to solve the first step in order to gain the effect of the second one. So here is the question: If the Attacker is going to resolve a Shove effect, could it choose not to Push the Defender away, but then Pulls itself towards the Defender?
  13. The Take Cover action allows each Character in the Unit that performs it may be Pushed Range 1 and the Unit gains a Hunker token, which would be lost when Engaged with an enemy. However, a Unit that is Engaged is not forbidden from performing the Take Cover action. So, is it possible for a Unit that is Engaged to perform the Take Cover action, being Pushed away from the enemy it is Engaged (assuming that all Characters in the Unit are capable to achieve so) and becoming no longer Engaged, then gain a Hunker token?
  14. In page 19 of the Core Rules book, it says: At the end of each Turn, the player with the most characters at the same Elevation as an Objective token and contesting that objective controls it. If there is a tie, control of the objective does not change. If there are no characters contesting the objective that are at the same Elevation as the Objective token, the player with the most characters contesting the objective that are at different Elevations than the Objective token controls it. If there is a tie, control of the objective does not change. When a player controls an objective, they place a Control token on it to show it is being controlled, replacing their opponent’s Control token, if one is present. Inactive objectives cannot be contested or controlled. I do understand the examples in the pictures given next to the paragraph, but what about the following case? Ahsoka Tano is contesting an Active Objective with Lord Maul at the same Elevation, while her allied Captain Rex and Maul's allied Mandalorian Super Commandos (2 Characters, who are Ahsoka's enemies) are in Range 2 of the Active Objective but are at a different Elevation of it. Aside, the Active Objective was previously under control of Ahsoka's Player in the last Turn. In this case - 1) Maul's Player win the Active Objective - there is a tie at the same Elevation of the Active Objective, thus characters at different Elevation should be taken into count; 2) It's a tie therefore Ahsoka's Player keeps control of the Active Objective - the rule only says characters at different Elevation could be taken into count when there are no characters contesting the Objective that are at the same Elevation as the Objective token, with no mention saying when there's a tie of the contest at the same Elevation, it should be resolved in the same way. Which is correct?
  15. Here's the Scene: A character who has 1 Injured token performs a Combat action, and gains a free Active Ability (assuming it has not used any of its Active Abilities this Turn) from its Combat Tree. On page 32 of the Core Rules, it says that the character may use one of its Active Abilities which has not been used this Turn without paying its Force cost. However, since the character has 1 Injured token and therefore is Injured, on page 34 of the Core Rules, it says that a Unit that has any number of Injured tokens must spend 1 Force for each of their Injured tokens as an additional cost to use an Active or Reactive ability. In this case, when the character uses the Active Ability offered by its Combat Tree, how mush Force should it pay? 0 or 1?
  16. From the Core rules, the Mission Card says: During the second and third Struggles, at the start of each of their Turns, players roll one Defense Die and consult the Mission Map to mark the corresponding Active Objective token with a Priority Objective token. A player that controls one or more Active objectives marked with a Priority Objective token moves the Struggle token one additional space toward their Momentum tokens at the end of their Turn. If a Priority Objective token is already marking an indicated Objective token, it does not move. The text really troubles me and guys in my local community on how to resolve the game effects of the Priority Objective tokens. One says that starting with Struggle 2, at the start of each Player's Turn, the Player rolls a defense die and marks the indicated Objective token with a Priority Objective token; then, at the end of the Turn, remove the Priority Objective token. This will be repeated throughout the Struggles. And what I understood is that, starting with Struggle 2, at the start of each Player's first Turn, the Player rolls a defense die and marks the indicated Objective token with a Priority Objective token, facing up either its black side or white side to determine who assign the Priority Objective token. The Priority Objective tokens are not removed at the end of the Turns unless the Struggle is ended. Besides, there is no need to roll defense dice again for the rest Turns, since the two Priority Objective tokens given by the Core Set are both used up. Am I right or is the guy in my local community right? Or neither of us is right?
  17. Hello there! I've just played a game with my friend and met a problem. I used the ability of R2-D2[Republic; Astromech], trying to remove a piece of Electro-chaff Cloud with a fuse marker on it. Then, my friend and I found it unclear to resolve the effect. The ability of R2-D2[Republic; Astromech] says: After you activate, you may spend 1 [Charge] and gain 1 deplete token to repair 1 damage card, recover 1 shield or remove 1 device at range 0-1. The Electro-chaff Cloud is a device and an obstacle, according to the Rules Reference. We reached an agreement that a piece of Electro-chaff Cloud is a valid target of R2-D2's ability to remove. However, how a fuse marker would interact with it made us confused. The Rules Reference says: A device or obstacle is fused while it has at least one fuse marker. When a fused device would detonate, one fuse marker is removed from that device instead, and that device does not detonate. When a fused obstacle would be removed, one fuse marker is removed from that obstacle instead, and that obstacle is not removed. From my friend's point of view - The Electro-chaff Cloud is a device, and therefore can be removed by R2-D2. When it is going to be removed, since it is an obstacle, the fuse marker on it should be removed instead of it. From my point of view - R2-D2 is targeting a piece of Electro-chaff Cloud in range as a device but not an obstacle (which it is incapable to target) to remove, and therefore a fuse marker would not work while remove a device. Which interpretation is correct? When R2-D2[Republic; Astromech] is trying to remove a piece of Electro-chaff Cloud with a fuse marker on it, should the piece be removed or the fuse marker be removed?
  18. I've played against a tri-Firespray-class squad and met a scene in the recent tournament play (although the key part of it did not actually happen), and is keen on how to resolve the game. Here is the scene - A Firespray-class flies along an edge of the play area and dropps a set of Cluster Mines, and part of 1 of the side mine is outside the play area. How should it be resolved? a) The charge of the upgrade is spent, the one that is partially outside the edge should be removed while the rest 2 are safe and stay, because each of the Cluster Mines is an individual device; b) The whole set should be returned to the supply and the charge spent should be recovered as the drop does not occur, because the 3 Cluster Mines share the same upgrade charge. Which way is right?
  19. Seyn Marana's [Imperial; TIE/ln Fighter] pilot ability is read as: While you perform an attack, you may spend 1 Crit result. If you do, deal 1 facedown damage card to the defender, then cancel your remaining results. And Deadeye Shot's ability is described as: While you perform a primary attack, if the defender is in your Bulleye Arc, you may spend 1 Hit result or change 1 Crit result to a Hit result. If you do, the defender exposes 1 of its damage cards. Question: While Seyn Marana performs a primary attack and gets a Hit and a Crit as the results, could she spend the Hit result first to trigger the ability of Deadeye Shot, exposing a facedown damage card the defender has, and then use her own pilot ability, spending the remaining Crit result to deal a facedown damage card to the defender?
  20. [Rebel; Crew] Jyn Erso's ability is read as "If a friendly ship at range 0-3 would gain a focus token, it may gain 1 evade token instead." [Rebel; HWK-290] Kyle Katarn's pilot ability is read as "At the start of the Engagement Phase, you may transfer 1 of your focus tokens to a friendly ship in your firing arc." If Kyle Katarn transfers 1 of his focus tokens to a friendly ship in his firing arc, which has Jyn Erso on board, could that friendly ship trigger Jyn Erso's ability and gain 1 evade token instead of 1 focus token?
  21. If an game effect instruct a ship to lose 1 of its shield, will it be treated as suffering damage and therefore trigger relavant abilities? For example, Darth Vader is equiped with Hate, and targeted by a Plasma Torpedo. After the Neutralize Results step, 2 Hits are remained. So Darth Vader lose 1 shields and suffer 2 more hit damage, and then resolves the effect of its Hate. In this case, how many Force Power will he recover? 2 or 3?
  22. It is said that "While a ship is at range 0 of an electro-chaff cloud, it cannot be locked, jammed, or coordinated by other ships." So I want to make it clear if Ahsoka's pilot ability may work when targeting a friendly ship at range 0 of an electro-chaff cloud. Ahsoka's pilot ability - Republic Ver.[Delta-7 Aethersprite]: After you fully execute a maneuver, you may choose a friendly ship at range 0-1 and spend 1 Force Power. That ship may perform an action, even if it is stressed. Rebel Ver.[RZ-1 A-Wing]: After you fully execute a maneuver, you may choose a friendly ship at range 1-2 and spend 2 Force Power. That ship may perform an action, even while stressed. Literally, I believe they work since there is no "coordinate" in the texts. However, let's make it clear.
  23. When discussing the use of the Electro-chaff Cloud, we met a question: A Player A's ship has gained a green token with the help of other friendly ships, and has a lock on an enemy ship. It moves through or overlaps an electro-chaff cloud, which was launched by Player B's ship, and gains a jam token. And then, who should decide whether it is the lock or the green token that the jam token should neutralize? Player A or Player B? Player A: The Electro-chaff Cloud is launched by Player A and therefore the jam token is caused by me, it should be my turn to decide which token to be neutralized. Player B: Any obstarcle in the game field is neutral. So it's my turn to resolve the effect just like other cases of moving through/overlapping obstarcles of other types. Which is right?
  24. Well, I just want to make sure if I resolve the ability queues correctly. Here is the information of relevant cards: Nien Nunb[Resistance; T-70 X-Wing]: After you gain a stress token, if there is an enemy ship in your [Front Arc] at range 0-1, you may remove that stress token. Pattern Analyzer[Tech]: While you fully execute a red maneuver, before the Check Difficulty step, you may perform 1 action. And steps here belows are how I will resolve the ability queues: 1) Nien Nunb fully executes a red KT4, having no enemy ships in his Front Arc at range 0-1; 2) Nien Nunb performs a Boost action successfully with the help of Pattern Analyzer, before the Check Difficulty step, and then has an enemy ship in his Front Arc at range 0-1; 3) Nien Nunb gain a stress token in the Check Difficulty step, and remove it by triggering his pilot ability afterwards; 4) Nien Nunb perform a Focus action. I hope I do resolve the queue correctly.
  25. We've just noticed that it is said that players roll dice to a minimum of 0 and to a maximum of 6, but there is no limit on the number of final dice result. So, is it ok to roll 6 dice and have 6 Hit, adding 1 more Hit result during the Dice Modification step, and therefore bring 7 Hit results to the Neutralize Result step?
