  1. Hi rules team, It's previously been answered in the Rules Reference Guide FAQ that a Weapon Hardpoint ability on its own cannot be used to equip upgrades that require two of the same slot (for example, Diamond-Boron Missiles or Synced Laser Cannons). However, Nien Nunb (T-70 X-Wing, Resistance) and Kare Kun (T-70 X-Wing, Resistance) both have a Missile or Cannon slot, respectively, in addition to their Weapon Hardpoint. Can either pilot use their Weapon Hardpoint in addition to their "normal" missile/cannon slot to equip an upgrade that requires two of the same upgrade icon?
  2. Hi rules team, The ability text of "Kaz's Fireball" (Title, Resistance) specifies searching for a Ship damage card when resolving the "Explosion With Wings" ability. Per the Rules Reference (pg. 35), my opponent is not required to show me the card they searched for. In tournament play, is there any way to verify that my opponent has legally resolved the ability without calling a judge?
  3. Hi rules team, Chewbacca (Resistance, Scavenged YT-1300)'s ability text is the following: After a friendly ship at range 0-3 is destroyed, before that ship is removed, you may perform an action. Then you may perform a bonus attack. Under the Attack rules for "Aftermath", abilities that do not grant bonus attacks (6a,b) trigger before bonus attacks that do (6c,d). Assuming this is in the context of an attack, is Chewbacca's ability considered both categories ("then" means the two clauses trigger separately, one in 6a/b, one in 6c/d) or just the latter ("then" means the whole effect must be resolved at once, in step 6c/d)? Thanks!
  4. Hi rules team, The FAQ in the Rules Reference Guide (page 35) in reference to "Rush" (TIE/vn Silencer) says: Q: If "Rush" becomes damaged during the Engagement Phase before the initiative 2 step, causing its initiative to become "6", what happens? A: "Rush" engages at the current initiative step, after all other ships at that step have engaged. Two questions to do with this - if "Rush" becomes damaged and destroyed in the same attack, do they still engage at the current initiative? For example, if they have lost their shields and suffer 4 damage in a single attack. The second question - does the above answer still apply if "Rush" is destroyed by an Initiative 7 attack, such as an attack aided by Roark Garnet (HWK-290 Light Freighter), Han Solo (Rebel, Gunner) or Heightened Perception (Force upgrade), causing them to engage at the end of Initiative 7?
  5. Hi rules team, The rules for Secret Conditions (Rules Reference Guide, Page 9) specify that "[The facedown secret conditions] are revealed when their effects are resolved." Zam Wesell (Crew and Firespray-class Patrol Craft)'s condition cards' text specify "At the start of the System Phase, remove this condition." Is applying this clause considered "resolving" the effect of the condition, therefore requiring Zam's player to show the opponent the facedown card, or is this a separate effect that is not considered "resolving"? To rephrase the question in a less rules-precise manner: if Zam's condition card has not been revealed by the end of the turn, do you need to show your opponent which card you chose? <Removed images>
  6. Hi team, thank you for opening up a rules forum! My question is how to handle the following situation: a ship with Force rolls two focus results during an attack or defense. A friendly Yoda (Eta-2 Actis) is at range 0-3 of that ship. If the ship spends 2 Force points to modify those results, can Yoda restore 1 of those Force points ("1 or more...") or both (they're individual instances of Force expenditure)?
