Do you still gain surge to defense in melee when spending a dodge token with Vader, Luke, Maul, Dooku ?

Hi, I know that you can't tell us about card errata, but I wanted to know if Jyn 3 pip actually allow us to complet the mission now ? How is the card working now with the new ruling ? Since I can't be panicked I won't be able to remove suppression equal to my courage value at the end of the unit activation ? So do I automatically become panicked again after ? Thank you
