kaffis
Question about shoving and falling off an elevation: Say there's a friendly and enemy character up on a platform, and there's another character on the ground past the edge. What happens if I shove the enemy character off the platform, but where they would fall is the character on the ground? Assume that there are terrain obstructions, or the range of the shove that would take the enemy character off the elevation is very close or something similar that limit the direction of the shove, and it's my explicit goal to get the enemy character off this elevation (to enable me to claim an objective on this elevation, for instance). Option 1) Do I fail to shove them off the platform in the first place, even though the character it's overlapping isn't on the same level? Option 2) Do I shove off the enemy off the platform, and they land somewhere other than the location of the shove? (The near or far side of the character they would be overlapping, for instance?) Option 3) Something else, please explain.

This is the correct option. If they are unable to be placed in the final location due to that position being an illegal placement for whatever reason, they will stop along the path at the last legal place they can stop.
