Critical Results and Surely you can do better

Can Count Dooku’s ‘Surely You Can Do Better’ turn critical results into fails? The rules describe critical hit results as hits that cannot be negated by block results. I’m inclined to say it can not turn them into fails but I want the clarity.

No. It cannot change Criticals into Failures. It affects Strikes.
