Alrog
When an attack is resolved, specific reactive abilities are used (page 10). In the section of making an attack (page 38), section 10 specifies that all effects are resolved but not when they are used. Does this mean that all reactives abilities are resolved regardless of whether they have still valid targets? Example: Asajj attacks with 4 critical to Magna guards, that are within range 2 of Dooku, allowing her to use a free ability (Force push). Dooku use his reactive ability (Twice the pride, double the fall). First, Asajj resolves Force Push (section 10C). Second, Dooku resolve Twice the pride even when the magna guards are no longer at range 2 of Dooku (section 10D). Is this correct?

Reactive abilities and Innate abilities with similar triggers are used when they say they are used and typically resolve when used. The answer to your question is “yes” but that answer is misleading as we see here: 4 hours ago, Alrog said: Example: Asajj attacks with 4 critical to Magna guards, that are within range 2 of Dooku, allowing her to use a free ability (Force push). Second, Dooku resolve Twice the pride even when the magna guards are no longer at range 2 of Dooku (section 10D). Is this correct? No. Count Dooku, Separatist Leader cannot use Twice the Pride, Double the Fall in this case as the requirements of the ability (the allied character being within Range 2 of him) are not met at the time he would use it (step 10D). If he had been able to use it before being affected by Force Push, he would then be able to resolve it so long as he was able to do so. For example, if he is Pinned and unable to advance back into range, he would not be able to make a melee attack targeting Asajj Ventress, Sith Assassin. Alrog
In the following example, can you specify (with step numbers) when a reactive ability is used and when it resolves in a combat situation? And when do you pay for the ability? Let's say for example: Grievous attacks and wish to use I have been trained in your Jedi Arts. The defender Asajj wish to use Rispote. Both abilities have to be used when a melee attack is resolve.

"I have been trained in your Jedi Arts" is used and resolved in 10c in this scenario "Riposte" from Asajj would be used and resolved in 10d
