Xilo
Hi, i'm getting quite confused with the melee rules for vehicles. Lets say Vader moves into melee with an AAT tank, is Vader now classed as 'engaged' whilst the AAT isn't? Or because both units involved in the melee aren't trooper units, are neither Vader nor the AAT classed as being 'engaged'? I'm aware only troopers can be classed as being engaged, so could the AAT in this case just blast Vader in the face before having to move out of melee? Or would it need to move first to 'de-engage' and then shoot him in the face? Similarly, if Vader is in melee with an AAT, if it is not classed as 'engaged' can other units, lets say a B1 unit nearby shoot Vader even though he is in melee with the AAT? Any help would be much appreciated!
TalkPolite
Hello, 4 hours ago, Xilo said: Or because both units involved in the melee aren't trooper units, are neither Vader nor the AAT classed as being 'engaged'? This is correct. 4 hours ago, Xilo said: so could the AAT in this case just blast Vader in the face before having to move out of melee? It could not attack Vader with ranged weapons because it is at Melee range. It would have to attack him with a melee weapon, of which it has none. It would also be free to make ranged attacks against other enemy units, as it is not considered to be engaged. 4 hours ago, Xilo said: lets say a B1 unit nearby shoot Vader even though he is in melee with the AAT? Yes, for the reason you stated. Hope that helps, TP
