Personal Effects

I think that I have confused a ruling on Personal Effects.

Am I correct in understanding that personal Effects from expertise happen in 10A or 10B depending on if you are the attacker or defender.

Personal Effects on your Combat tree are resolved on the step of your tree as long as it's not an Active Ability which is activated in 10C.

- Attack expertise direct effect damage is added to the pool at the start of step 8
- Combat tree option effects of direct and personal (non-active) effects resolve in 8, during each option choice
- Attack expertise directed(other than damage) and personal effects resolve in 10a
- Defender expertise directed and personal in 10b
- Attacker combat tree option personal effect active in 10c
