Commander Ponds and Incoming vs Maul and there is No Place to Run

Ponds has a hunker and is thus immune to expose. Maul pulls him into engagement with No Place to Run. Does Ponds get an expose token or does engagement happen after No Place to Run completely resolves and ponds is immune because he does not loose the hunker token until engagement happen? Where does engagement happen in this scenario?

Characters move along the measuring tool during Push and Pull movements and are considered to be in range of other abilities and characters(meaning they can be considered to be in engagement range) during this movement.

Abilities are resolved in the order they are written, per the FAQ.

This means that the the character would become engaged and lose its hunker token during the movement. The ability would then cause the character to gain exposed after that movement is complete. Because the Hunker token was removed and the immunity was lost during the movement, he will be able to gain exposed in this situation.

Be careful to note that when performing an advance, climb, dash, jump or place, characters are not actually moving along the measuring tools. They are in their starting position and then at their end position. They only move along the measuring tools during the push and pull movements.
