SirSmashALot
Hi, just looking for clarification in regards to when a momentum is applied when a unit is wounded, is this immediately after the wounded token is applied or after the attack is resolved? The reason I am asking is in relation to the timing of General Solo's Let's keep a little optimism here ability. I assume his ability triggers at step 10.D of the attack sequence, but its whether you are checking if Solo's player is behind on momentum before or after the momentum is added for wounding a unit. The rules state that when a character has damage that exceeds their stamina then they immediately gain a wounded token (which would happen at step 9 of the attack sequence) and then it states that when a unit receives a wounded token the opposing player gains a momentum, but it does not state that this happens immediately so would this also happen at step 9 or would the attack sequence resolve first and then the momentum is applied. As General solos ability to gain a momentum can only happen if the opposing player has more momentum than this player, its confusing if the players are on equal momentum before the attack happens, would his ability trigger as the momentum is gained immediately or would this not be able to trigger as the momentum has not yet been added and they are therefore not behind on momentum at this stage? Thanks.

Immediately with the wound. On 7/4/2024 at 2:46 AM, SirSmashALot said: The reason I am asking is in relation to the timing of General Solo's Let's keep a little optimism here ability. If the wound is a result of damage pool damage, yes, Lets keep a little optimism here is used in 10d. If the wound was caused due to another effect at a different point in the attack sequence, it would be used then instead. You are checking the momentum difference at the point you use the rule
