Polemarch Posted July 23 Posted July 23 1. May undeployed units coordinate to other undeployed units, or because the undeployed unit is not yet on the battlefield, is it then considered not at range 1 of any other units? 2. May a unit with compulsory moves (e.g., STAP riders), use the compulsory move to deploy? 3. If a unit with both AI and compulsory moves (e.g., STAP riders) deploys using a compulsory move without having been issued an order and before a friendly commander deploys, is it then required to perform its AI action (e.g., if STAP riders, then another move)?
Seth Posted July 23 Posted July 23 Hi there, Just now, Polemarch said: 1. As described in the Undeployed Units call-out box, "an undeployed unit is within any distance and in LOS of each friendly undeployed unit (...)". Undeployed units may be considered in range 1 of one another to use the Coordinate keyword. 1 minute ago, Polemarch said: 2. May a unit with compulsory moves (e.g., STAP riders), use the compulsory move to deploy? Yes. When an undeployed unit performs a move, it deploys. It need not be a "proper" move action, but can be a free move action granted by a keyword such as Speeder X. 2 minutes ago, Polemarch said: 3. The AI keyword only applies if the unit is on the battlefield at the start of its Perform Actions step. An undeployed unit will not by affected by AI. Please refer to the AI: Action Unit Keyword entry for more detail. Hope this helps, Seth
