dpm105 Posted August 18 Posted August 18 I noticed that the wording for the Covert Ops keyword has been updated in the 2.6 rulebook. It currently states "During Setup, a unit with Covert Ops may change it's rank to operative for all rules purposes for the rest of the game". Since Building an Army is listed as step 1 of setup, and as a specific step of setup is no longer mentioned for when Covert Ops takes place, does this mean that a unit with Covert Ops may now be treated as an operative for purposes of Army building? For example would the following Operative / Commander combination be considered valid? Commanders: Luke Skywalker (Commander / Hero of the Rebellion version) Leia Organa Operatives Cassian Andor (using Covert Ops) K-2S0
Seth Posted August 18 Posted August 18 Hi there, "During setup..." used in a keyword refers to the Resolve Setup Effects step. A unit may not "use" Covert Ops prior to this step, and is a Commander unit for the purposes of a building an army. ----------------------- 25 minutes ago, dpm105 said: For example would the following Operative / Commander combination be considered valid? Cassian Andor is a Commander unit until he applies Covert Ops during the Resolve Setup Effects step. Hope this helps, Seth
