Would a character who triggers ES-04, Firebrand’s Can’t Stand the Heat reactive ability suffer 3 damage from the applied strain at the end of the move action that triggered Firebrand’s ability?

In order for Strained to be triggered, it must be present on the Unit when triggered by advancing, climbing, dashing, jumping, making an action, making an attack, or using an Active or Reactive ability while Strained is present on the Unit. Gaining Strained while these effects are resolving will not trigger it as the trigger was missed.

If the Strained is removed from the Unit in the course of completing the triggering effect, it will not deal damage as it has to be present when the triggering effect resolves.

The moving Unit in the example will not take damage from Strained.
