Troopers Silhouette

I clearly remember there was a discussion about this before, but I can't find it now.

For creature troopers it specifies where and how to place the silhouette (on the base and move it across the base), but in CRB there’s nothing about regular troopers. Previously, we placed the silhouette on the table behind the base, and there was a corresponding image. Does this still work the same way in the new edition, or has something changed? If the trooper silhouette now needs to be placed on the base, how do we account for any decorative elements like rocks glued to the base?

This is not correct. The silhouette is placed touching the base; not placed "on" or overlapping the base.

This is not correct. The Core Rulebook does gives similar instructions in the Line of Sight entry for using small base trooper silhouettes as for notched base trooper silhouettes; the notched base silhouette has a call-out that the silhouette is slimmer than the base is, so it may need to be moved around the base as necessary.
