Poison token and Recon Mission Scanner timing

If a trooper unit with one remaining wound has a poison token as well as the Scanner from Recon Mission secondary, can they choose the order in which their end of activation effects are performed? In other words, can they choose to apply the observation tokens with the scanner first and then receive their last wound from the poison token and become defeated?

Yes. If a player has multiple effects that occur at the same time - in this case, at the end of a unit's activation - they may choose the order in which to resolve effects.
