Gator Posted November 7 Posted November 7 I assume gaining suppression tokens from Annihilation Looms would cause a unit to lose a standby token. When do the suppression tokens for come on to the board? A lot of order cards and effects like fire support pit standby tokens on units when they receive an order. The most advantageous thing for the AL player would be to not have priority, so the player with priority issues orders and their relevant units gain standby tokens. Then when the AL player goes, they activate the effect of AL before giving orders. Then any of that player's units with fire support or any other way to gain a standby would get to keep it. Is all of that accurate?

The Resolving Command Card Effects sequence, in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook under The Command Phase section, would apply here. Command Card effects that do not have a specified timing occur after command card effects that occur when the Command Card is revealed, and before all other Command Card effects. If both players have such effects, the Blue Player resolved their effect first; not the player with priority. Is all of that accurate? This answer may very Command Card by Command Card, but in general, no, that is not accurate. If a unit gains a standby token upon being issued an order due to a Command Card or other game effect (such as the Fire Support keyword), this will occur when issuing command cards, well after resolving any Command Card effects that do not have a specified timing such as Annihilation Looms. Hope this helps, Seth
