Do ground vehicles gain cover from smoke grenades?

In the Core Rule Book under the section for ground vehicles it states:

"When a ground vehicle is defending against a ranged attack, during the Apply Dodge and Cover step, it cannot be obscured and cannot have cover as a result of being obscured" 

Would that mean ground vehicles could gain cover from smoke tokens? Or are units within range of a smoke tokens considered obscured?

Hi there,

As stated in the Smoke Tokens entry, only Trooper units improve the numerical value of their cover when near a Smoke token.

Vehicles do not improve the numerical value of their cover near a smoke token, as they are not Trooper units.
