maverick4538 Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Hey, I’m unclear on the timing of standby in general gameplay. Most commonly, when a unit with charge/relentless moves into melee with a unit with a standby token. I assume that the move action triggers the charge/relentless melee attack and AFTER that my opponent can attack back with their standby before I then take my second action. My opponent argues that he attacks with standby after my move but BEFORE I can attack him with charge/relentless. could you clarify whose correct please, many thanks
Seth Posted November 12, 2024 Posted November 12, 2024 Hello, As stated in the Standby entry: "A standby token is spent before any effects that trigger after an attack, Attack action, Move, or Move action." ------------------------------------------------------ On 11/12/2024 at 1:02 PM, maverick4538 said: I assume that the move action triggers the charge/relentless melee attack and AFTER that my opponent can attack back with their standby before I then take my second action. A Standby token is spent before other effects after a Move action, including free attacks performed using the Charge or Relentless unit keywords. Hope this helps, Seth
