Syko Havi Posted November 22 Posted November 22 Hi couple of questions. 1 - When wookies want to move onto a piece of height 1 terrain using scale, do they have to reduce their move to climb / scale the terrain? I know Climb keyword states the unit has to reduce their movement when climbing and was informed by that scale is the same. I disagreed as Scale states you do not reduce your move. 2 - An issue arose around being in contact with terrain negate any cover saves you get. The terrain was height 1 and around range 2 in length (large hill). I was one end, he was the other. He said that as he was in base contact with the hill, there wouldn't be any cover for me. Thanks for all your help.

When a unit performs a Climb, it must use the speed-1 tool. The Scale keyword does not contradict this; it simply broaden such a unit to be able to Climb terrain up to height 2, rather than only height 1. 2 hours ago, Syko Havi said: 2 - An issue arose around being in contact with terrain negate any cover saves you get. If the attacking unit leader is touching a piece of terrain, that terrain will not obscured miniatures to which LOS is partially blocked. Please refer to the Apply Dodge and Cover process; specifically step 1: Determine Number of Obscured Miniatures. The exact height and width of the terrain is not pertinent to this determination, but players may wish to divide especially large pieces of terrain into separate parts for the purposes of gameplay when adjusting and defining the terrain, applying the Golden Rule of Terrain where agreeable. Hope this helps, Seth
