Kris M Posted July 21, 2021 Share Posted July 21, 2021 No. A barrel roll can fail in the same manner as a barrel roll action, but because Anakin Skywalker's (Naboo Royal N-1 Starfighter) pilot ability is not an action, the Force cost is a cost to resolve the effect (which Anakin cannot do in the case of failure) rather than a cost to attempt the action.
