Ardua
I’d like to clear something up for leaving the battlefield - an opponent moved his AAT at the end of his move his AAT overlapped the edge of the battlefield. now the first bullet point states that this unit is defeated. the second bullet point says a unit cannot voluntarily leave the battlefield. now I would say that bullet point one stands the into is defeated, as this also aligns with bullet point two the unit didn’t voluntarily leave it was moved there on purpose (a mistake obviously but it is now sitting in an illegal position). some people have said that bullet point two means that it can only move off the battlefield and be defeated if it is panicked or via a compulsory move. And the unit would just return along its movement tool to a legal position. if someone accidentally moves (even partially off the battlefield) is that unit defeated if they have removed the movement tool? TalkPolite
Hey there, On 12/4/2021 at 2:50 PM, Ardua said: if someone accidentally moves (even partially off the battlefield) is that unit defeated if they have removed the movement tool? No, the unit is not defeated. If the player would try to make a move action that would take the miniature off the table, the action could not be completed and they would have to perform a different action instead. In your example, they would have to perform a different action, or alter the move in a way that kept the AAT on the table for the entirety of the move (partial move, etc). These are all examples of trying to "voluntarily" leave the battlefield. A compulsory move that would cause a unit to leave the battlefield instead causes that unit to take wounds equal to the speed they were moving, and make a partial move instead. An example of a non-voluntary move would be a move caused by panic, which is what the first bullet helps cover. TP
