Question on Iden's model build and Inferno Squad

Question on building Idens model

According to Talk Polite it states.

So with Iden does that mean  you have to choose the weapon you will all ways use when you build the Mini? as the repeater version represents a distinct unit? and could  be confusing if they have a different weapon equipped IE: sniper rifle option. On other units you HAVE to use the mini with the correct weapon and cannot sub according to the quoted statement from the rules questions RE: wookies and what weapons to build them with.

So if you want to play Iden with all of her weapons you need to buy multiple boxes just to use (1) character?.

 

Or if thats not the case why would other units not follow the same rules.

 

IE: you get enough minis to play (2) units with the inferno squad pack BUT you do not have the correct weapons on the minis so you can only play Special forces OR Inferno squad. There are (7) minis in the pack,  Special forces is (4) units and Inferno Squad is (3) so there are enough minis and cards to play both with one box. but my understanding is that would not be legal.

Hello, 

The difference is one post you quoted is talking about using one unit as a proxy for another unit, and the actual question you posed is related to different equipped upgrade cards.

No. Upgrade cards do not have to be modeled onto the miniature. When talking about heavy weapon upgrades that specifically say “add x mini”, those must be used. 
 

For your final statement - yes, there are enough miniatures to make Inferno Squad (3) and ISF (4) in a single box.
