IG-11 Self Destruct with Bounty Programming on a Commander

Hello,

Bounty programming says that, if you select a commander for your bounty target, IG-11s weapons gain pierce 1. His 3-pip "Anti-Capture protocols" says IG-11 "performs an attack with the following weapon [self-destruct weapon]"

Does the self-destruct weapon count as IG-11's weapon (and thus gains pierce 1 if conditions are met for the programming) or is it not his weapon, just one he is using?

Yes, he would gain Pierce 1 in this case.
