Debaticus
I have a couple questions regarding silhouettes and terrain. The first is more just looking to get official confirmation here in case someone questions it: When placing minis near terrain, the piece of terrain cannot "enter" the cylinder that would be created by a minis silhouette correct? Assuming the above is correct: Would a mini be able to enter "base contact" with a piece of terrain (such as the angled portion of a barricade or the nose of an x-wing) if when viewed from above, there is no space between the mini's base and the piece of terrain, similar to how 2 minis can enter base contact with each other? For minis that are taller than a small base silhouette (such as an arc trooper on a flight stand or a wookiee with his arm raised) if the silhouette could fit under a piece of terrain like an overhang but the mini itself cannot fit because it is too tall, is it legal to place the mini there? If yes then how would this be accomplished on a table?

Correct. The silhouette is the physical space the miniature occupies. Players should discuss these situations as they occur and use their best judgement when determining their physical location on the table.
