[Placing Non-Leader Miniatures in Base Contact with Enemy Miniatures during Cohesion]

When a unit with multiple miniatures moves, is it possible to place non-leader miniatures in that unit in base contact with enemy miniatures while placing them in cohesion with the leader miniature? If this was done, would it also initiate a melee? There does not appear to be a restriction preventing this in the current CRB.

     

[Cover Clarification regarding Terrain Visibility]

In the attached image, the green unit leader is touching the piece of terrain in front of the green unit. The orange unit leader is also touching the terrain in front of it. Both pieces of terrain are higher than the height of the silhouettes. The green unit leader can see the terrain obscuring the orange unit leader. The orange unit leader can not see the terrain obscuring the green unit. Both pieces of terrain would normally provide heavy cover.

Can you please clarify what kind of cover is provided to the green unit, and what kind of cover is provided to the orange unit, if both units were to attack each other in the pictured scenario?
