Hello There! vs. Mind Trick
Scenario:
General Obi-Wan Kenobi activates uses a movement action to advance and then Hello There! to jump within engagement range of two enemy characters and ( Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter & Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding)
General Obi-Wan Kenobi uses his second action to make an attack action in Stance Form IV Ataru declaring the attack against Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter.
Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding uses his reactive Mind Trick to make General Obi-Wan Kenobi’s attack end before dice are rolled, but General Obi-Wan Kenobi may make another attack targeting a different character subtracting 2 dice from the roll. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding is also within range.
Questions:
General Obi-Wan Kenobi used Hello There! He adds 3 dice to his next attack roll of his activation.
(Potential Roll with Stance Form IV Ataru being 7+3 from Hello There! = 10 Dice)
Because dice were never rolled against Jango Fett, Bounty Hunter, does he lose the 3 additional dice when the attack ended because of Mind Trick?
Or does he still have them when he makes another attack against Obi-Wan Kenobi, Out of Hiding, and loses just 2 because of Mind Trick and having to subtract 2 from the roll after changing targets?
(Potential Roll with Stance Form IV Ataru being 7+3 from Hello There! -2 from Mind Trick = 8 Dice)
Or does Mind Trick cancel the additional dice all together from Hello There! And cause General Obi-Wan Kenobi to subtract 2 from his roll after changing targets.
(Potential Roll with Stance Form IV Ataru being 7-2 from Mind Trick = 5 Dice without any benefit from Hello There!)
