Hello!

With new cover-rules, how this skill works with STAP? Like light cover and roll white defence dice? or in old manner - just blocked one hit?

Hi there,

As described in Appendix A: Notched Base, vehicles (of all kinds) cannot be obscured and cannot have cover as a result of being obscured. Terrain obscures units during the Determine Number of Obscured Miniatures step in the attack sequence. Vehicles can gain cover from sources other than being obscured by terrain, including keywords such as Cover X.

The STAP Riders will have light cover thanks to the Cover 1 keyword, and so will roll cover dice during the appropriate step in the attack sequence.
