  1. 1) For a multi-miniature notched based unit that can displace (eg 74Z Speeder Bikes at the end of a compulsory move), is it just the leader which displaces the enemy, or can the second miniature also displace?

    2) If the second model can displace, and the unit also has Overrun (eg Swoop Riders), can the leader mini land and not displace a unit, eg not enough movement to contact, but the second mini then cohere and contact the target, resulting in an Overrun attack?

  2. If multiple friendly units (of varying model counts) are engaged with a single enemy unit and, after one of the friendly units attacks and kills all but one enemy model in the unit, how does the snapping order work?

    A) The attacking unit snaps in first in full, followed by other friendly units (in full) in the order decided by the attacking player

    B) Each friendly unit (in full) in the order decided by the attacking player

    C) The attacking player decides, on a model-by-model basis, which models to snap to the last defending model

    D) Something else…?

    Cheers!

  3. The following question applies to a unit with one or more claimed objective tokens.  In all cases, I understand it to be the owning player (ie the player who has the unit in their army list) who places the objective, ie if Player A force pushes Player B’s unit with a claimed objective token, it would still be Player B who places the claimed objective token after the move.

    1) When the unit moves, what is the sequence of placing the claimed objective token?  Is it:

    a) Place unit leader, place objective(s), place remaining models in the unit

    b) Place unit leader, place remaining models in the unit, place objective(s)

    c) Something else…..

    2) If, when placing claimed objectives, there is no room to place them in base contact with the unit leader then what happens to the claimed objective(s)?

    Cheers!

  4. When a unit has two actions and uses its first move to get into base contact with a Closed Transport, it can use its second move to embark.

Q1) If the first move also makes the unit engaged, and the unit has charge/relentless, can they make the (free) attack and then embark?

Q2) Similar situation, but with Steady - could they move to base contact, take the Steady shot, then Embark?

    Thank you

  5. If a single model moves into contact with a unit of 5+ models, the rules say that as many models fit in then the rest are placed in cohesion.

Would it therefore be acceptable in the above scenario for the player of the 5+ unit to move 4 models in and then place the unit leader at the edge of cohesion from all the models which are in base contact with the attacker?  If so, this means that the withdraw move can lead to the 5+ model unit being > Spd-1 from the attacker.  Is this correct?

    Thanks

  6. From the Arm keyword:

”Charge tokens cannot overlap any objective, condition, or other charge tokens and must be placed on a flat surface completely flush with that surface.”

    1) Is it permissible to shift the position of an objective token on a Key Position prior to placing a Charge token?

    2) If the surface itself is not flat, eg a crate with indents/ridges, or an area terrain with static grass/flock, does this mean that the Charge token cannot be placed there?

    3) If the board itself is also textured, does this realistically mean that Charge tokens cannot be placed at all?

    Cheers!

  7. The definition of "craters" (area terrain) seems to be removed from the new CRB and (it feels like) it's more about the physical appearance of the terrain now.

For craters, to save carving out chunks of the board:

    1) Is it still permissible to ignore them (as obscuring) when drawing Line of Sight between two units which are on different sides of the crater, even if the physical representation of the crater sticks up on the table?

    2) When drawing Line of Sight from attacker to defender, and where the defender is partially in the area terrain, is the defender considered obscured if any part of their base (even 1%) is overlapping the terrain?
