Guardian and Poison tokens

Hello. In the rulebook is written, that a unit with the guardian keyword isn't a defender, but the poison X keyword description is not have any mentions about defenders. It sounds "A non-droid trooper unit that suffers wounds caused by an attack pool that included a weapon with the Poison X keyword gains X poison tokens." Is a unit with guardian keyword gains poison X tokens, after it uses guardian and suffers wounds?

Yes, a unit that suffers wounds from an attack by way of the Guardian keyword will indeed gain X poison tokens as a result of Poison X in the attack pool.
