Veteran clone pilot timing

Hi there,

When does veteran clone pilot have to be declared? Can it be declared after attack dice are rolled and modified (step 4) and before apply dodge and cover (step 5)? Or does it need to be declared when the attack is declared (step 1 or 3)?

Hello,

The Veteran Clone Pilot upgrade card may be exhausted "While you or a friendly clone trooper unit [...] attacks or defends."

This may be at any point in the attack or defense sequence - whenever you need the tokens! - and does not need to be when the attack is declared.
