Drpeppersniffer234
I have some confusion around what an attack is, according to the entry in the rules an attack is a sequence of steps 1-11. Inside of that sequence there is mention of performing separate attacks with each attack pool which repeats steps 4-11 within the attack sequence. Does the term attack refer to the entire sequence or the certain steps inside of an attack and since the attacks that are steps 4-11 repeated are part of step 11 of the sequence, would those additional “attacks” all be part of one attack? I am confused since the term attack is used for both concepts.
Seth
Hello, The quoted attack sequence describes how a unit performs one or more attacks. A unit may perform more than one attack during the attack sequence if enabled to do so by multiple available weapons with which to attack multiple targets or the appropriate keywords (such as Beam or Gunslinger) - each is its own attack pool and these are declared and created in steps 1-3 of the Attack Timing sequence. Each of these attacks are then resolved by following steps 4-11 of the Attack Timing sequence. Hope this helps, Seth
