Another thread clarified that in We can do this the simple way or the difficult way, Plo Koon is not required to take the expose condition in order to trigger the dash towards the attacker. Is the dash portion of this ability solely dependent on the defender being a Trooper or Padawan, or does it still require the defender to be a Galactic Republic unit within range 3?

Rex, Cody and Wolffe have the Clone Trooper trait, but unlike the clone trooper supporting units do not also have the Trooper trait. Are Rex, Cody, and Wolffe considered Troopers for the purposes of Plo Koon's We Can Do This the Simple Way or the Difficult Way?

Rex's I'm always first, kid reads: Could a Clone Trooper Supporting Unit within R3 of Rex make a combat action with no eligible targets in order to trigger this ability? For example, an ARF Trooper with one character within R3 of Rex makes a combat action. Each character in the ARF trooper unit declares a melee attack, but the attack fails when checking for eligible targets because no enemy units are Engaged with either character. Could Rex then spend 1 FP to dash?
