timing of strain

If a unit of B2 battle droids have 3hp left and have the strained condition, if they were to take a combat action to shoot a unit and try to use their ability saturation fire what would happen?  would they 3 dmg and become wounded cancelling their attack after using Saturation fire or would they first get to finish their attack before taking the 3 dmg?

They will resolve the effect of the Strained condition after the Saturation Fire ability resolves and be Wounded. They will then resolve the attack in progress and then their activation will end.
