The Advanced Positions deployment allows trooper units to end the deployment phase outside the deployment zone. The Bombing Run objective assigns claimed objective tokens to unit leaders within the deployment zone. (This appears to be a “must” effect.) Red player (who had not clearly read the objective card) ended with only one unit within their deployment zone. A strict reading implies that only one claimed objective token could be assigned.
