"What's the Matter, Too Fast for You?" While benefitting from Protection

Let's say Ahsoka Tano, Jedi No More is defending from a melee attack while benefitting from Protection due to an allied Jedi Master Mace Windu. If Ahsoka is looking at an umodified 10 damage before paying the force to use "What's the matter, too fast for you," would the protection apply to Ahsoka? If it does, would it take effect before or after the damage is halved, and how much damage would she take?

Protection applies before Damage is taken. 

What’s The Matter, Too Fast For You? applies when a character would take Damage. 

Protection reduces the Damage Pool before What’s The Matter, Too Fast For You? is used. 

Ahsoka Tano, Jedi No More takes 5 Damage and her attacker takes 4 in this scenario.
