Strain life drain

Mother talzin has a strain.  She makes an attack causing damage.  Does life drain trigger to heal the strain before she takes three damage?  Thanks!

This is one way things could be resolved, yes.

Life Drain is used and resolves in 10c of the attack and Strained, if no other triggering event reaches its end state first, would resolve in 10e of the attack.

In this case, Strained would trigger and resolve prior to 10e as a result of the reactive ability Life Drain being used. However, if the Heal granted by Life Drain is used to remove the Strained condition, it would not be present at the time it would trigger and resolve. This means it is removed before she takes the damage that Strained would otherwise cause.
