Attacking a unit with range and Los

Does my unit need to be at range 3 and have los to the same mini to preform an attack? Or can both conditions be from diffent minis in the unit I declare as a defender. In the rules it doesn’t state if I need the same mini to complete the 2 requirements to preform an attack.

Correct. An attacking unit leader needn't determine both range and LOS to the same miniature in a defending unit. If one miniature in the defending unit is in range but not in LOS, and another miniature in the defending unit is in LOS but not in range, then that unit may be declared as the defender of the ranged attack.
