  1. Thank you and really sorry one last follow up question then hope thats ok! Is the damage from duplicate conditions typed the same as the type of attack that triggered it (for example melee or ranged). For example: If I make a melee attack triggering Coordinated fire which applies a duplicate condition that wounds Maul, is that considered being wounded by a melee attack? or not because it happens before the attack is actually happening/is applied by a unit not making the attack? Similarly if I make a melee attack and during that attack I trigger a duplicate condition which causes maul to become wounded, will that count as being wounded by a melee attack allowing a revenge trigger? or with the double condition damage is that simply not an attack so would not cause any triggered rules that happen off being wounded by an attack?
  2. Amazing thank you! So its actually very important if the duplicate condition damage counts as an enemy effect or if damage from conditions is neutral. Is it like strain where the damage is a neutral effect? Or because the condition is applied by a player is it player effect damage? (essentially for the situation above where maul gets wounded by the condition application outside of the damage pool would maul get to use "Revenge I must have Revenge?")
  3. Very niche scenario. But lets say that maul was on 1 hit point remaining with the pinned condition. Someone attacks maul, gets some successes and starts adding damage to the pool. While going down the combat tree the pinned condition is applied. This will cause 1 damage to maul automatically wounding him. Now what happens to the rest of the damage in the pool? Can it no longer be applied? Essentially, is the damage from duplicate conditions added to the pool? or is it dealt immediately? Minor follow up - is this damage still considered damage from an "enemy effect" for rules triggers or is it like strain where its not "enemy effect" damage because it is caused by a condition rather than a direct damage application.
  4. So just to clarify, even if the ability is on completely different units but has the same name can that ability only be used once per turn? So in a turn you could trigger 212s coordinated fire, and if you did then had another eligible attack could that attack use 501st's coordinated fire? Essentially are abilities part of the unit or is it same name = same ability.
  5. Hello again, So what happens in this situation: Anakin runs up to Obi(secondary version) and goes to attack him. Obi uses mind trick to end the attack. Would Anakin now be able to use "Im going to end this" or does mind trick prevent this as there wasn't an attack made. Thanks Matt
  6. Okay it might just be the language used then because this is how it reads to me: "...that character's Unit may remove all its [hunker]. If it does, one character in that unit may [heal] for each [hunker] removed. Then each character that [heal] may [dash]" So a two character unit with 2 hunker tokens gets attacked. "that character's Unit may remove all its [hunker]" So 2 hunker tokens are removed. "If it does, one character in that unit may [heal] for each [hunker] removed." So you select one character in that unit and heal it for each hunker token that was removed (we removed two hunker tokens so the character heals twice.) "Then each character that [heal] may [dash]" Only one character was healed and therefore only one character dashes? Am I just not reading the ability correctly? Its very likely that but I am just finding it very hard to read it in a way that lets you heal multiple characters.
  7. Hello, could you please explain this in a little more detail. Knowledge and defence says: that character's Unit may remove all its [hunker]. If it does, one character in that unit may [recover] for each [hunker] removed. Then each character that [recover] may [dash] If only 1 character may recover and then only a character that recovered can dash how can both characters dash? Really struggling to wrap my head around this ruling so some clarity would be very much appreciated to help me explain it when an opponent fairly calls shenanigans if I dash two characters!
  8. Hello, Very quick one - Does Obi need to be engaged himself to be chosen for Run at the start of his activation? Thanks Matt
  9. Hello, Another question, I have once card left in my deck and 1 force remaining. My turn starts and the card I draw is shatterpoint. Can I spend 1 force for shattershuffle to trigger the second bullet point in the deck refresh rule and restore my force for that upcoming activation? Thanks Matt
  10. Hello, I have a question about the timing windows for after an attack and after combat action windows. Say anakin attacks dooku and rolls no successes, you get to step 10-C which is when I always thought anakin would activate his "Im going to end this". But I am now led to understand that there is a hidden window after step 10-E that only happens after the combat action is complete which is when anakins would activate correct? So could dooku use "Twice the pride" before anakin attacks a second time potentially wounding or moving out the way of his second attack? Thanks Matt
  11. In the following situation what would happen? I have a card in reserve and a single card in deck (this is the important bit). The card in deck is revealed is the shatterpoint card. I choose to spend a force. The rules do not cover this situation, so would this let me now activate the card in reserve? In the Steps in order section of the rule book (P21) there is no time frame for when you spend your force to put a card into reserve, or spend a force to redraw after shatterpoint is drawn. It must be after 2.A but before 3. When you spend your force to reserve or shattershuffle does it return to the top of step 2. If so and you have no cards left in deck after reserving or shattershuffling would you be able to resolve 2A to potentially play a card that has just been put into reserve or one that was there before you drew shatterpoint? Many thanks Matt
  12. Does Dooku NEED another Separatist alliance character within 3 to dash himself or can he still use the ability even if he is nowhere near any allies?
