Scientist Supreme’s reverse bodyguard ability, I’ve heard that due to timing on rules, when it is used on a character like Mysterio or Enchantress, the timing for the opponent to pay 2 power to prevent the use of their mystic defense is past, and you get to use the higher defense die. Can somebody explain how this interaction works, timing-wise, because I’ve been unable to figure out how opponents don’t get the opportunity to pay the power to make you use the lower defense. That was changed awhile ago to allow the attacker to still have the ability to pay the power.
