Protection and coordinated fire

We assumed it didnt, but is the coordinated fire from the republic clone commandos isnt affected by protection? I guess does the damage from coordinated fire get added to the damage pool or is it prior to the damage pool getting formed and thus production does not affect it.

Damage from Coordinate Fire:Damage is not added to the damage pool, rather, it is suffered right away. This means Protection will not apply to it as Protection only applies to damage from the damage Pool
