Hunker Token and Steadfast

I have to be missing something or misinterpreting. 501st Troopers have Brothers In Arms for Steadfast if they have a Hunker token. Hunker tokens are removed after dice rolls are made. Thus getting shoved would happen after that during the combat tree. In what scenario is steadfast useful if your Hunker token is gone by then? Thanks.

This appears to be where the confusion likely is. Hunker tokens are not removed after dice rolls are made.

Hunker tokens are removed if a Unit becomes engaged or if the Unit starts its activation.
