BlastDuke Posted November 13, 2021 Share Posted November 13, 2021 The Mag-Pulse-Warheads card ability reads: Quote Attack (Action: Lock): Spend 1 Charge. If this attack hits, the defender suffers 1 Critical Hit damage and gains 1 deplete and 1 jam token. Then cancel all Hit / Critical Hit results. How does this work in conjunction with Fifth Brother's brothers ability to add 1 Critical Hit damage after the attack hits? option a) The Mag-Pulse card text ist executed as a whole and non-divisible, therefore 1 Critical Hit damage from the warhead is applied and then all Hit / Critical Hit results are cancelled (including the 1 Critical Hit damage added by Fifth Brother's ability) => 1 Critical damage + jam + deplete OR option b) The 1 Critical Hit damage added by Fifth Brother's ability is added to the 1 Critical Hit damage from the warhead and immediately applied. Then cancel all Hit / Critical Hit results (but there are none left to cancel) => 2 Critial damage + jam + deplete Thanks for clarification! Dee Y Posted November 16, 2021 Share Posted November 16, 2021 If Fifth Brother (TIE v1) attacks with Mag-Pulse Warheads, and the attack hits, resolve the Mag-Pulse effects as soon as this is determined (during Step 4: Neutralize Results). This includes the canceling of results portion of the ability. After the Neutralize Results step, you may resolve Fifth Brother's ability, which adds a critical hit.
