Red SLAM action and partially executing a manouvre for red focus action

If the SLAM action is a red action can you take the red focus before gaining a stress token from completing the red SLAM action?

The stress from performing a red SLAM action is not received until after the red action has been performed (Under Stress in the V1.4.4 of the RRG). As a result, assuming that the ship is not stressed at the time the "exclusively overlapping enemy ships" effect for a red <focus> or <calculate> action is resolved, they will be able to perform said action and then after that maneuver is finished being resolved it will gain another stress from the red SLAM action.
