Mind Trick and Appetite for Destruction

Situation 1:
- General Grievous activation and he uses an action to attack Obi-Wan Kenobi (Out of Hiding)
- Kenobi uses 'Mind Trick' to end the attack
- Grievous has no other eligible targets
- Grievous does have an allied Battle Droid Supporting character within range 3

Question: Can Grievous use 'Appetite for Destruction' to have the allied Battle Droid Supporting character dash and attack Kenobi?

Situation 2:
- General Grievous activation and he uses an action to attack Obi-Wan Kenobi (Out of Hiding)
- Kenobi uses 'Mind Trick' to end the attack
- Grievous has another eligible target and makes another attack targeting a different character (Lord Maul)
- Grievous does have an allied Battle Droid Supporting character within range 3

Question: Can Grievous use 'Appetite for Destruction' to have the allied Battle Droid Supporting character dash and attack Maul?

Yes

No. The attack granted by Appetite for Destruction is limited to targeting a character that was attacked by the combat action attack. Although the attack from Mind Trick occurs during the combat action, the character targeted by it is not one of the characters targeted by the combat action attack.

Thank you, so am I correct in saying that in this scenario 2:
- Grievous could make another attack into Lord Maul
- Grievous could then use Appetite for Destruction to have an allied Battle Droid character attack Obi-Wan (as Obi-Wan was the target of the Combat Action)

If the first line is in reference to the attack granted by Mind Trick, yes, you have the correct scenario.
