Anakin moves into engagement range and performs a combat action to light saber attack Savage:

A) Anakin only has 2 strikes go through and Savage rolls 2 expertise. Savage choses to jump away from Anakin and out of engagement range. Can Anakin use Force Jump before using I'm Going to End This?

B) Anakin has 3 crits go through and Savage has 2 expertise again. Anakin is on Stance 1 and deals 6 damage (7-protection) and gives a Strain. Does Anakins Strain happen first and does Savage then take 3 damage if Jumps away?

C) Anakin has 4 strikes and crits go through and Savage has 2 expertise again. This time Anakin choses a Pinned. Can Savage still Jump away? If Anakin choses Jump instead does he execute his Jump before Savage?

Thanks,

James

No. Force Jump is an Active ability and Anakin has no way to use it during the resolution of another effect (the attack). I'm going to end this likewise is a reactive ability and has to be used at the time its trigger condition is met, which is directly after the combat action.

Yes. The Strain would be applied in Step 8 of the attack and Savage's expertise Jump result occurs in 10b

The Pinned would again be applied in Step 8 and the defensive Jump in 10b

Anakin's Jump would also be applied in Step 8 if he chose that option instead.

So does that mean that all reactive abilities are in essence "immediately following" the resolution of the action? Because it says after, not "immediately after/following".

Yes, they have to be used at the time the event they are triggering from occurs. This does not always line up with the "resolution" of the event though.  Coordinated Fire for instance triggers as a result of an attack from a combat action, but is used before step 10(which is the resolution of the attack).

You need to watch for the timing of an abilities trigger and the timing that it says its used at.
