  1. Do the unarmed stations in Station Assault count as ships when the opponent resolves scout on their squadrons? Squadrons deployed with scout must be beyond distance 5 of enemy ships and squadrons. The unarmed station are considered ships when being attacked directly and can be affected by splash damage effects such as Wide Area Barrage/ Orbital Bombarment Particle Cannons. So would the unharmed stations also be ships when scout is resolves to deploy squadrons?
  2. Resubmitting per request. In Surprise Attack, the second player places the station at distance 1-5 from the first player's edge. Does this infer that the station may be placed within the deployment zones at a distance 1-3 of the 1st player's edge? Normally there are restrictions where the placement of obstacles must be outside of distance 1-3 of the player edges. Follow-up questions: Does the definition of the first player's edge also include the play area? Can the station be placed outside of the set-up area at distance 1-5, along the first player's edge?
  3. Resubmitting per request. In Abandoned Mining Facility during setup, obstacles are placed at distances 2-5 from the station. When the station is placed at the center, per the objective card, there is a small portion where the distance 2-5 would measure into the distance 1-3 deployment zones of each player. Here is an image that can illustrate the area in question: Does this mean the remaining obstacles can ignore the usual restriction of obstacles needing to be deployed outside of distance 1-3 of the player edges when measuring 2-5 of the station? Can obstacles be placed where the yellow shaded areas overlap with the Red and Blue shaded areas (please ignore the green ring and the "objective token zone" words). Thanks again!
  4. Hello! Is the unarmed station only treated as a ship at all times or only when it is being Targeted directly by an attack? Can it also be treated as a ship at all times such when determining effects of indirect attacks/effects? Examples: If the Squadron Mart Mattin is close enough to drop a mine near the station, would the station somehow set off the mine if it is in distance 1? (Even though the station itself does not have movement). The unarmed station cannot resolve critical effects, but can it be the target of indirect fire from critical effects such as Wide Area Barrage or Orbital Bombarment Cannons where another ship was the target and those effects would treat the unarmed station as the additoonal target from those effects? Thanks!
  5. Hello, When playing the objective Surprise Attack, there is a speed limit on the first player's ships when deploying that reads: While deploying fleets, the first player must deploy their flagship before deploying any other ships. Their flagship must overlap the station, even if the flagship extends beyond their deployment zone. The first player cannot deploy any ship at a speed greater than half of that ship's maximum speed (rounded up). Does the speed restriction on the first player, above in bold, only apply during deployment, or does it persist throughout the game affecting ships that may deploy in later turns due to Profundity title or Admiral Raddus commander?
  6. Can you stack tokens that are put in play? I want to elaborate more on what I mean by stacking. Can tokens can be placed on top of another when placed into play. Such as in fire lanes it reads, "After placing obstacles, the second player places 3 objective tokens in the setup area beyond distance 4 of both players' edges." but the card does not give a minimum distance from each other token to be placed. Other objective cards like Salvage Run do specifically state that objective tokens need to be minimum of distance 1 from each other. In fire lanes, if there is no minimum distance from each other that the objective tokens have to be placed, can all 3 objective tokens be placed on the same spot, one at a time,"beyond distance 4 of both players edges?" and therefore placed one on top of the other, resulting in 2 or even all 3 tokens placed (stacked) on the same spot? Do any move effects, such as strategic, move all the tokens stacked on it in the same way an obstacle with tokens move together? Example 1: When playing fire lanes, can all three objective tokens be stacked? If I move the bottom token with strategic, would the stacked tokens also move with it? Example 2: Can a proximity mine or ignition token be placed on top of an objective token, and if that objective token is moved with strategic, does the stacked token also move? Thanks.
  7. Can I trigger Kit Fisto's ability to reduce damage when I spend an exhausted token? The card reads that "when you spend a defense token, you may discard it..." Since I am spending an exhausted token, and must discard it, can I still trigger Kit Fisto's ability? Thanks.
  8. Hello! If I deploy overlapping a proximity mine token, can that ship also make an attack against the token? Can another ship make an attack against the token? Would that attack then be obstructed if able in either case? I understand the token will not detonate unless I end my movement at distance 1 of the token. Thanks.
  9. If I have squadrons with Scout, and as first player, we are playing Surprise Attack, what happens if I place all my squadrons first, before deploying any ships, on/around the station, in a way that prevents my flagship from being deployed on it?
  10. Hello, The timing window for Thermal Shields from my understanding is the token is spent and effect happen during the attack step. After the opponent gathers dice, and before they are rolled and modified by the attacker. Does the use of Thermal Shields spending the brace count towards Luminara's count of tokens spent? Her card says "after the spend defense token step if it spent fewer than 2 tokens", but Thermal Shields brace was spent before that step, during the attack step. Thank you.
