  1. No, some ship cards and upgrade cards have limitations. These limited cards are identified by a number of bullets (•) to the left of their names.

During squad building, a player cannot field more copies of cards that share that name than the number of bullets in front of the name.

The Guarded condition card is a limited card with one bullet and as such only one copy can be in play.

  2. The Battle of Yavin expansion introduces new Standardized Loadout (SL) ship cards to Star Wars: XWing. These ships have unique abilities or loadouts that you can’t find anywhere else. If the card does not have the Servomotor S-Foils upgrade listed, then it is not equipped.

  3. Yes, Pattern Analyzer is allowing you to perform an action - abilities that trigger off performing an action can then enter the ability queue and be resolved.

    Compare this to Advanced Sensors:

After you reveal your dial, you may perform 1 action.

If you do, you cannot perform another action during your activation.

In this case, the card is specifically telling you that after you perform the action allowed by Advanced Sensors, you cannot perform any more actions during that ship's activation.

  4. No. In the Chance Engagement scenario, starting on the second round, at the start of the End Phase, a player earns 1 mission point if they contest the satellite. A player contests the satellite if they have one or more ships at range 0–2 of the satellite.

The Mandalorian Super Commandos, Clan Wren Commandos, Death Watch Commandos Imperial Super Commandos and Nite Owl Commandos are a Device Remote, not a Ship.

  5. No. Dengar (Gunner) requires the attacker to be in your firing arc in order to trigger. Hotshot Tail Blaster does not add a firing arc to the ship equipping it.

From the Rules Reference Guide (v1.4.3.1 - pg. 4)
    Firing Arcs:
A ship’s firing arcs include all shaded arcs on the ship’s ship token plus all turret arcs, if any.

If an upgrade card gives a ship a turret arc or primary weapon with a specified arc, those arcs are also firing arcs.

  6. When you equip the Tie Defender Elite configuration you replace your Full Throttle ship ability with the following ship ability:

Advanced Fire Control: After you perform a Cannon or Missile attack, if you have a lock on the defender, you may perform a bonus primary attack against the defender.

As such the free evade action provided by the Full Throttle ship ability no longer applies.

  7. No. The red Focus / Calculate only comes into play if a ship overlaps and enemy ship while executing a maneuver.

As a ship that executes a 'Stationary' maneuver does not overlap any ships, the ship that executes a stop maneuver after an enemy ship has overlapped it would not be able to perform the red Focus / Calculate, but would be able to perform a range 0 attack.

A ship that unsuccessfully attempts to rotate would not be able to perform the red focus / calculate as rotating is not a maneuver.
