  1. Hello,

Counterpart card is not a forced upgrade for their associated units. Note that R2-D2, Iden Versio, Din Djarin, and so on do not have a keyword present on their unit card that would force a player to include a counterpart miniature while building an army.

    ----------------------

    12 hours ago, Podfrey said:

Is this correct?  Ie you may never just take Iden Versio by herself?

That is not correct. You may include Iden Versio in your army without Iden's ID10 Seeker Droid.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  2. Hello there!

Typically, a unit may only perform free card actions during their Perform Actions step. However, the Jump X keyword text does allow that a unit with the keyword may use it when they would be able to perform a move action. This would be an instance of using Rules Priority to allow the keyword text to override the general game rule!

If the unit with the standby were instead Geonosian Warriors with the free action: Jump, would they be able to do the same -- spend the standby to jump?

    (...)

"Can a unit with [free card action]: Jump X use the Jump keyword outside of its Perform Actions step, like while spending a Standby token?

Yes to both, as a unit with the Jump X keyword can perform the Jump X action any time it could perform a move action, including a free move action granted using a standby token.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

Can you spend a standby token to disembark from open transport? I.e stormtroopers being transported on a GAV tank have taken a standby action. Can they then spend the standby token to disembark.

Yes, a unit may perform a disembark move during a move action instead of making another movement; in this case using the free move action granted by a spent standby token to do so.

On 3/28/2024 at 2:15 AM, Zarusas said:

Can you spend a standby token to disembark from an open transport that's moved twice?

    Yes.

Can you spend a standby token to perform an embark move on to an open transport?

    Yes.

On 3/28/2024 at 2:15 AM, Zarusas said:

My understanding is that I can't standby disembark from closed transport because the transported unit is not allowed to spend tokens. You also can't standby embark on closed transport due to not having enough actions. Is this correct?

Correct; more detail on these interactions with Transport X: Closed is available in a prior post.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  4. Hi there,

When Cad Bane's "Here I Am" Bane token is revealed, the token is replaced with Cad Bane's miniature. He is not "deployed," and will not trigger any game effects that occur upon being deployed, such as Scout X.

    ---------------------------

    27 minutes ago, igleut said:

I was curious if you could take Recon Intel and use the move from scout to escape from their melee attack. I'm curious if the scout move occurs before cad bane becomes engaged and therefore he can move, or if he becomes engaged instantly upon deploying and cannot use his scout (assuming he cannot perform the move from scout while engaged following the same logic that a unit cannot use the speed-1 move from Leia's two-pip if that unit is engaged)

Cad Bane is not deployed when he replaces his "Here I Am" Bane token, and so cannot use the Scout 1 keyword granted by the Recon Intel upgrade card.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

    1. Cad Bane places a bomb token within range 1 of his own unit in the divulge step. If their opponent scouts into them and detonates the bomb during deployment or round 1, does the unit friendly to Cad Bane

    A) ignore the bomb

    B) get hit by the bomb because it's not an enemy effect so the immune keyword does apply (unit is friendly, not the enemy unit)

Neither of your options are entirely correct. They can be attacked by a Kablamo! Bane token, friendly or enemy (nearest to option B); the Immune: Enemy Effects keyword only applies to enemy card effects and they only gain that keyword during round 1.

On 2/13/2024 at 5:13 AM, brezzab said:

    2. The hostage card states that the immune effect is for round 1. Does the deployment step count also? (In respect of scouting moves possibly triggering it during deployment)

Setup is not part of round 1.

    Seth

  6. Hi there,

The Stealth Armor keyword increases the cover of a Death Trooper by 1. It is not reliant on the Death Trooper having cover from terrain or other sources!

    ---------------------

On 3/23/2024 at 11:52 AM, Wkcd said:

So if I have my unit in the open my cover would be light and grant me a surge on defence. So In light cover, I would have heavy then 2 surges on defence. So maxing out at 2 just like a normal units cover of 2.

    You are correct.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  7. Hello,

    12 hours ago, Pinto397 said:

If fifth brother gain 2 dodged from Defensive stance, could seventh sister take two immobilize tokens to give fifth brother 2 dodges bringing his total to 4??

Yes. When Fifth Brother gains a Dodge, Seventh Sister will gain an Aim, and may suffer an immobilize to grant the Fifth Brother an additional token. This may occur twice in your scenario as Fifth Brother is gaining two tokens, leaving Fifth Brother with 4 dodges and Seventh Sister with two immobilizes (and two aims).

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  8. Hello,

During the End Phase, Ewoks-affiliated units in the Bright Tree Village Battle Force remove one fewer suppression token. C-3PO, Golden God is indeed an Ewoks-affiliated unit, and is not a Rebel faction unit.

    On 3/23/2024 at 4:25 PM, Pinto397 said:

Does c3po included in bright tree bf also not remove suppression during the end phase??

Correct; C-3PO will not remove suppression.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

Since the condition is met when EITHER gains a token does that mean BOTH of them may perform the immobilize clause at the same time?

Yes, both Fifth Brother and Seventh Sister may suffer an immobilize token to grant an additional token to the other. In most circumstances, this means that the Inquisitors will end the sequence with two aims on one and two dodges on the other, as well as one immobilize token on each.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  10. Hi there,

A "speed-X move" granted by a card effect is a standard move, but not a move action unless specified to be so. See the Abilities the Provide Moves call-out in the Star Wars: Legion Core Rulebook for more detail.

As such a move is not a move action, it will not trigger keywords such as Charge (or Steady, or Relentless...) nor Tactical & Agile.

    1 hour ago, Ardua said:

When Family reunion is played and Ahsoka performs her speed 2 move from the card, is she able to perform her charge at the end of the speed 2 move if in base contact with an enemy unit?

No, as she has not performed a move action with which to use Charge.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  11. Hi there,

Fifth Brother takes an aim action, and he gains 2 aim tokens. As a result, Seventh Sister gains 2 dodges. In the post I link below, it’s stated that the immobilize, token-doubling ability can only once during a “triggering event.”

The "event" is Fifth Brother gaining an aim or dodge token. If he gains two tokens due to Offensive Stance/Defensive Stance, that is two opportunities to apply the further effects of the You Would Question Me? command card.

    14 minutes ago, Oopoehee said:

My question then is: If Fifth Brother takes an immobilize token, will Seventh Sister gain 1 or 2 additional dodge tokens?

Seventh Sister will gain one additional token if Fifth Brother takes an immobilize token.

    14 minutes ago, Oopoehee said:

In other words, is the “triggering event” gaining each aim token (2 events) or the aim action (1 event)?

The effects of the You Would Question Me? command card occur when either Inquisitor gains a token; it is not based on aim or dodge actions.

If Fifth Brother gains an aim token, Seventh Sister will gain a dodge token. Either of them may gain an immobilize token during this process to grant an additional token to the other. If Fifth Brother gains an additional aim token using Offensive Stance, Seventh Sister will gain a dodge token as well, and this is again an opportunity for either of them to gain an immobilize token and apply the further effects of the command card.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  12. Hi there,

While a unit is transported by a vehicle with the Transport X: Open keyword, the transport is used for determining range and LOS to and from the transported for attacks as well as other game effects (refer to the Transported entry for more detail). However, the Death From Above keyword does not involve checking range nor LOS. A transport overlapping terrain is not sufficient to apply Death From Above; the Geonosian Warrior unit leader itself must be overlapping terrain.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

On 3/13/2024 at 11:35 AM, VonTrappFamilySinger said:

If a unit with Death from Above was being transported in a vehicle with the Transport X: Open keyword and the vehicle was legally overlapping a piece of non-area terrain that was height 1 (a hill or rock, for example) and the defending unit was on the battlefield floor not overlapping any non-area terrain, would Death from above take effect?

The Geonosian Warrior unit leader is not considered to be overlapping any terrain in this scenario, and so will not be able to use Death from Above while performing an attack.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

Would I be able to trigger both upgrades of Inquisitorius Training and thus have 2 attempts to cancel my opponents Force Push

  14. Hello,

Players are encouraged to customize any of their miniatures, including Bomb Carts. They are not required to be kept on a plain base.

If playing in a Galactic Conquest Event, be aware that a customized miniature should not interfere with gameplay, as well as that a modeled base should be the appropriate size and shape as the base supplied with the original miniature. Talk to your Event Organizer or Head Consular with any concerns meeting these criteria!

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  15. Hello,

To perform a pivot, rotate the unit leader’s base up to 90° to the left or right, keeping the center of the base in the same place. A unit performing a pivot will not change elevation, with or without a keyword such as Speeder X

    ------------------------------------

On 3/8/2024 at 3:07 AM, Angreifen Maus said:

If I have an Airspeeder underneath a height 2 bridge and perform a pivot, can it end its move on top of the bridge it is currently under?

    It may not.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  16. Hi there,

"When a unit disembarks, if the vehicle that is transporting that unit has performed more than one non-pivot move during the current round, disembarking uses all of its available actions, and it cannot perform additional actions or any free actions."

The restriction on not performing further actions or free actions applies when a unit disembarks; not before. Such a unit may indeed use a free move action granted by the keywords Guidance or Pulling the Strings to disembark.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  17. Hi there,

This question has been broadly answered prior, but for clarity regarding the Charge keyword as well:

"If a unit is not in cohesion for whatever reason, its next action must be a move action that ends with all miniatures in cohesion." A unit that is not presently in cohesion may perform no other actions, free or otherwise, unless that action is a move action to re-establish cohesion.

    -------------------------------------------

On 3/12/2024 at 11:47 AM, Thunderbound said:

The ewoks then wish to perform a melee attack. Can they do this, since performing a move action that ends in cohesion is impossible to perform?

The Ewok unit may not perform a melee attack action, as that would be performing an action other than a move action while not in cohesion.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  18. Hi there,

If playing in a Galactic Conquest Event, refer to the Player Responsibilities section on Miniatures. A "proxy" is not by default permissible; a miniature must be easily identifiable as the version of the unit it represents.

If you have a conversion or customization you are concerned may not meet the Miniatures specifications, contact your Event Organizer!

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  19. Hello,

The Battle Meditation upgrade card allows the equipped unit to issue one order to any unit on the battlefield, instead of what is specified on the command card. This does mean that, when Seventh Sister plays her command card Unexpected, but not Unwelcome, she may opt to issue an order to any unit (such as Darth Vader!) instead of the order to herself or to Fifth Brother.

When a unit is issued an order using the Unexpected, but not Unwelcome command card, it recovers. This can be a unit other than Seventh Sister or Fifth Brother, if the units that can be ordered using the card are modified - such as by using Battle Meditation!

    -------------------------------------------------------------------

On 1/25/2024 at 12:18 PM, SergeyStark said:

Is that correct that she can issue 1 order to herself and the second order issue to Vader. In that case Vader would gain the benefit of free recover when issuing order from this card?

    That is correct.

Does anything change when the same situation but only seventh sister and Vader occur (np fifth brother on the table)?

  20. Hi there,

From the Transport X: Open entry, "During the unit’s activation, if the vehicle that is transporting that unit has performed more than one standard move or reverse during the current round, the unit may only perform one action and cannot perform additional actions or any free actions."

    -----------------

    22 hours ago, Thraug said:

If a unit with Unstoppable (that hasn't activated once) is in an Open Transport and that Transport takes 2 Standard Moves, will the Unstoppable unit have 1 action on each of it's next 2 activations this turn?

Yes; if the transport has performed more than one standard move or reverse during the current round, the unit may only perform one action during its activation(s), and cannot perform additional actions or free actions.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

  21. Hi there,

The Interrogate keyword comes into effect only if a player reveals a Command Card that belongs to a unit at range 1 of one or more enemy units with the Interrogate keyword and there would be a tie for priority. A Command Card belongs to a unit if it is restricted to that unit, such as it functions for the Cunning keyword.

Push is not a command card restricted to any unit.

    -------------------------------

On 3/6/2024 at 12:37 PM, mythslegend said:

Let's say my opponent is playing Anakin, and drops the 2 pip Push,  would interrogate turn it into a 3 pip even though it is not an Anakin specific command card is there was a tie?

Interrogate would not treat the pips on Push differently, as that Command Card does not belong to Anakin Skywalker.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth

"(...) When either unit gains a dodge or aim token, the other unit may gain a immobilize token. If they do, the other unit gains an additional token of the same type"

How many times can the sequence be repeated?

This sequence can occur once per triggering event (a dodge or aim token gained by either unit). Additional tokens granted to either Inquisitor as a result of the Fifth Brother or Seventh Sister suffering an immobilize token do not themselves prompt or generate additional tokens.

    Hope this helps,
    Seth
